Experience the Environment with Caris Pepper

"Thanks so much for the support. I love the paints - obviously :)"

Caris Pepper is an exciting artist from Dunsborough, Western Australia where the ocean meets the desert. Caris brings the freshness of the water to remote aboriginal communities through her unique fusion of art and other therapies.

Caris lives her surroundings and this is reflected genuinely in her artwork as well.

Read how she describes things best in her own words...

"I hold an intrigue for light, nature and connection to land, which has led me to living and experiencing different countries, cultures, spaces, and places. To be in harmony with my environment is very important to me."

"I see the world as a magical place full of textures, colours and vibrancy where I notice shades of colours and the subtle interplay of light. I am sensitive to my environment and easily inspired; and life, like my art, is all about rhythms and connecting to these. I believe that my work is an evolving process and as I am extremely passionate and fiercely individualistic in my work, I am continually working towards developing my own unique style by exploring different mediums and cultural experiences."

"Whether I am responding to my environment or a particular place in time, creations trend towards emotional, healing, and culturally inspired art work using predominantly acrylics on canvas. My appreciation of the environment is represented regularly throughout my work in colour choice, subject and technique. In my abstract works I use a spatula to apply Hydrocryl colours which I then blend with a brush. I enjoy representing what I am or have felt sensed or experienced; whether it has been influenced by a place, space, or a being."
